Hi Top Hats,
Here’s the deal for our Concert in the Park on Wednesday evening. The playlist is below…minus Tower of Power and adding Singing in the Rain to be directed by one of the Eric Fort scholarship winners (Copa will be directed by the other winner.). We won’t be playing O Canada – even though we have played it in the past for Concert in the Park, it is not a usual practice in concerts which aren’t recognizing a National theme.
Please plan to arrive at the Music Centre by 6:45 so we can set up and tune. Bring music, instrument, water bottle, (?maybe a light?),and clothes pegs to secure your music in case of errant breezes. Dress is tux pants, white tux shirts, black vest, carnation, black shoes, no hats. Chairs and music stands will be provided by the Music Centre.
Our MC is Gordon Cameron, who is BTTB alumni, a member of the Burlington Concert Band, and an MC extraordinaire! We will be playing for 90 min, so should be done by 9 pm. If there is inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled. I will email you as soon as I know about a cancellation.
Let me know if you have questions…I’ve probably forgotten something!
Looking forward to our first Concert in the Park since 2019!
Susan and your exec…Sue McB, Connie, Jean, Cathy and Heather.
