This request is from Gail Grant, and her brother (our very own) Paul Smith who are organizers of this event.
“This National Event takes place every year to raise awareness and funds for the homeless, hungry and hurting. The CNOY Burlington this year is supporting the work of Open Doors at St. Christopher’s church.
The event starts at 4:00 with opening statements by the Mayor and other dignitaries and then the walk kicks off around 4:15. BTTB will be there to serenade the start of the walk. We have been asked to welcome them back to St. Christopher’s as their walk finishes – playing tunes at the entrance to the church. This would be a stand still performance. Invitation to stay for a light supper is included.
We have created a team for the event. We’ll be doing the 2k walk. Please arrive by 4pm to register! If you are playing only, please arrive by 5pm.
