Call for conductor

The Top Hat Marching Orchestra (THMO) is seeking the services of a conductor commencing in October 2019. The Top Hat Marching Orchestra began in 1982 and draws amateur players 19 years and older from different backgrounds. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to motivate, inspire and instruct, and will possess an excellent knowledge of music and an understanding of the operation and capabilities of band instruments. He or she will have the desire and capacity to work with the Board and committees in concert planning and in advancing the caliber of the band. The ideal candidate will be well organized, punctual and efficient in the management of rehearsal time.

Experience working with musicians of various ages and abilities is desired. Candidates will also be willing to accept feedback and work with band members to foster a harmonious relationship.
